I have a passion for all things words. Combining my love for fashion, politics and people to create meaningful cultural content. Graduating with a first with a BA (Hons) in Fashion Communication from Condé Nast College this September, I have developed a multi-disciplinary skill set with a specialism in journalism.
During this time, I have taken the opportunity to become a part of the CNC editorial team as student features writer. This has seen me write broadly across lifestyle, fashion and the arts. Writing pieces from ‘anti-globalisation and the rise of cocooning’, ‘how internet became a utility and not a luxury’ to fashion catwalk and gallery reviews. Since graduating in November 2020, I freelance write for digital publications and blogs and I am seeking editorial experience, to pursue my dream of becoming a Features Editor.

Work Experience, (1 wk)
Working remotely, I wrote reactive lifestyle pieces to the news of the
moment, to meet tight editorial deadlines. I participated in the daily
content zoom calls and assisted with general administration tasks.
Summer Placement, Aug 2019 (4 wks)
During my placement I worked predominantly alongside the content team with responsibility to research the longer PRO pieces and formulate and write the spotlight slideshow pieces. Highlighting the work of notable brands in the sustainable fashion arena in the areas of fine jewellery and bags.
Content Intern, Feb – Apr 2020
Returning to CO I exclusively worked with the content team to write news pieces and research longer PRO pieces. As lockdown hit, I created an up-to-date scrolling news piece on the positive input of the wider fashion community to the COVID-19 relief effort.
Student Features Writer at Condé Nast College of Fashion and Design
As part of the college blog team, my role involved writing topical pieces which are centered on lifestyle and cultural trends. My role included planning content around the editorial calendar, formulating content ideas to pitch at editorial meetings, reacting to emerging events, writing SEO friendly online content and creating associated social media posts.
2016 - Present
Volunteer at STARS Sexual Trauma and Recovery Services
Volunteering initially as a helpline listener and now events team member, I undertook extensive training to provide support to those affected by sexual violence; hence developing strong telephone based skills, plus the ability to listen and empathies. I lead a small team
to launch the Consent Tent, created to promote consent education at music festivals. I created and designed the campaign materials, brought contacts together to deliver the outcomes, helped to train event volunteers and organised on the day logistics to execute the smooth running of the event.
